This is a development of three separate houses overlooking the Cape Town Stadium and the Atlantic Ocean. The site was subdivided into three individual erven, and the existing house was used as a departure point for the design. The use of brickwork and ‘klompies’ references the heritage of Cape Town, while the incorporation of shutters creates an enclosed wrap-around ‘stoep’ that protects against the winter storms.
